The Animal Store Takes the Pledge

I just signed and returned the Puppy Friendly Pet Store Pledge initiated by The Human Society of the United States (HSUS). In an effort to help shut down and eliminate puppy mills, by signing the pledge, The Animal Store certifies that we do not sell puppies, and we further pledge not to begin the practice of selling puppies.

September 19, 2009 was Puppy Mill Awareness Day, but efforts to stop cruelty against animals are ongoing. It is estimated that 4 million dogs are bred in puppy mills every year. Take a moment to learn more about the issue, and let us know if you have any questions.

We love dogs and our dog-owner customers, and support the special bond between canines and their humans in any way we can. Visit The Animal Store for dog food, toys, treats and supplies. We hope you'll visit your local shelter to adopt your next dog or puppy.
